I glad to say that I can call him my friend...Hello. I glad to say that I can call him my friend. When I was in New York, I was living with one of my friends, who is a great bass player. One of the greatest bass players in AMERICA actually. He's playing with Phil now. I play the blues on the guitar, so that was great to meet him. He called me "My lil brother in blues" and it's a pleasure for me. We jammed a lot, and he really showed me a lot of great stuff. Phil has got his solo album, it's called Some Kinda Hurricane. The guys from Stevie Ray's Double Trouble played on that album. Phil was a great friend for Stevie, and in the end of eighties Joe Cocker band and SRV AND DT had a tour together. Stevie was closing I believe. And there's the video on YT where they are jamming together. Playing a solo together. They played Watching The Riverflow with Stevie and Double Trouble as the end of JC 's set and the beginning of Stevie's . There's some videos on YouTube of the new band of Phil playing. You can find all that stuff on his Facebook page. Phil Grande.
