This is intended to be a homage to very many musicians I've loved since I started listening to music. My intention is to tell what I know about them, hoping that those people who like them too, will help me fill numerous gaps, which I may have in their careers and discographies. Sorry, but there are no MP3 audio files here at all, just info (and love for the musicians).

After that, the band split in 1977. All their albums got great reviews, but for some reason, sales weren't as succesful. Why?!

AND THEN...

And, for many years, I haven´t found about Adrian Tilbrook´s musical activities. He played with visiting American musicians.

Adrian has been teaching percussion for many years.

In 1986, Jazzaction was set up as a joint initiative between Yorkshire & Humberside Arts and Northern Arts. Adrian Tilbrook has run Jazzaction since day 1, as Jazz Development Officer based in Darlington. So I guess that kept him quiet busy for a long time.

    1. I was taught by Adrian in the 80's, around the time when the first (and by far best) Chick Corea Elektric Band Album came out featuring Dave Weckl on drums, an album which Adrian introduced me to. I was a youngster then, and later was taught by Stuart Ellerton. Adrian introduced me to the Dovecot Youth Jazz Orchestra, ran by Stuart Johnson (sax). I saw Adrian play with Paul Flush (piano), Rick Taylor (trombone), Steve Pierce (bass) as the jazz 4 piece Full Circle at the Dovecote arts centre. I still have and regulary listen to their album, which is exceptional. Adrian had a full set of timbales and cowbells on that live gig, and he was supberb. Adrian has just started (end of 2011) his own website http://www.justdrumming.co.uk/ which has a great bibliography on there. He's also started teaching again, unfortunately I no longer live in Teeside, otherwise I'd be taking to the sticks again.
