BIOGRAPHY:
As the person who wrote with the sad news of Cornell Dupree´s death told me: one of the all-time greats! Fantastic guitarist, he played in more than 2000 albums during his lengthy career. Of course, I see it impossible to show here all that he did. As always, I just think of this page as my humble tribute to a superb musician. I know I´m missing lots of his live bands, and hundreds of credits, but little by little, I´ll be expanding the info.
Cornell Dupree was born in December 19th, 1942 in Fort Worth, Texas. His nickname was Uncle Funky.

This was the live band for Sam Cooke in January 1963, with King Curtis Band as well as some of Sam´s own musicians:
