This is intended to be a homage to very many musicians I've loved since I started listening to music. My intention is to tell what I know about them, hoping that those people who like them too, will help me fill numerous gaps, which I may have in their careers and discographies. Sorry, but there are no MP3 audio files here at all, just info (and love for the musicians).

BIOGRAPHY:

Great guitarist, there has always been a sort of confusion about his career as there are two different Mick Clarke, both guitarists (both great!), so I hope this page will help to make things clearer.

Mick Clarke was born in London, and soon started playing in local bands.

SHADES OF MIDNIGHT

This band included a young Mick Clarke as well as an unknown singer by the name of Les Charles who later reinvented himself as Billy Ocean:

SHADES OF MIDNIGHT #?

FREDDIE MAC´S EXTRAVAGANZA

Another later lineup by Freddie Mac´s Extravaganza was:

FREDDIE MAC BAND #?
?
êShades Of Midnight
Freddie Mac

Carl Douglas

Mick Clarke
guitar
+ others unknown to me. Help!
Orang Utanê
Orang Utanê

Carl Douglas later joined Gonzalez (with Chris Mercer), and Clarke and Seopardie formed a new band, called Hunter (soon to be renamed Orang-Utan).

There were more lineups with Mick (for example, sharing guitar duties with Terry Jenkins). I´d love to get more info about that.

But Gerry Trew soon left.

New singer Nobby Clark joins them:

They recorded one album, Orang Utan, with all songs written by Seopardie, but it was released without the band´s knowledge, so they never received a single penny from sales. The album has cult status and has been reissued several times since then. After that, they disbanded.

From 1973 to 1975, Dave Caswell toured and played with Les Humphries Singers, a good band that had great singers. By that time, they included the magnificent John Lawton (later to join Uriah Heep). This is part of one of the lineups
