Prolific drummer as well as skilled composer, he can be found in many albums by different artists.

FREDDIE MAC´S EXTRAVAGANZA

First band I know by him is called Freddie Mac's Extravaganza:

FREDDIE MAC´S EXTRAVAGANZA #
Freddie Mac
vocals
Erlene
vocals
Terry Jenkins
guitar
Steve Humphries
bass
+ 3 horn players, unknown to me. Help!
Another later lineup was:

FREDDIE MAC´S EXTRAVAGANZA #
Freddie Mac
vocals
Carl Douglas
vocals
Mick Clarke
guitar
+ others unknown to me. Help!
Carl Douglas later joined Gonzalez (with Chris Mercer), and Clarke and Seopardie formed a new band, called Hunter (soon to be renamed Orang-Utan).

HUNTER / ORANG UTAN

This band was formed sometime (probably during 1970), and their original name was Hunter:

ORANG UTAN #1
1970
Gerry Trew
vocals
Mick Clarke
guitar
Sid Fairman
guitar
Paul Roberts
bass

But Gerry Trew soon left.

New singer Nobby Clark joins them:

ORANG UTAN #2
1971
Nobby Clark
vocals
Mick Clarke
guitar
Sid Fairman
guitar
Paul Roberts
bass

They recorded one album, Orang Utan, with all songs written by Seopardie, but it was released without the band´s knowledge, so they never received a single penny from sales. The album has cult status and has been reissued several times since then. After that, they disbanded.

JUDITH DURHAM BAND

Jeff Seopardie did one tour around UK with Judith Durham. I don´t know the complete lineup:

JUDITH DURHAM BAND #
Judith Durham
vocals
Val McKenna
guitar
Joe Fagin
bass
Alan Park
keyboards
+ another keyboardist unknown to me

THE FOUNDATIONS

Around 1973-74, Seopardie toured with The Foundations, but don´t know the exact lineup(s), just incomplete info:

THE FOUNDATIONS #?
?
Derrick ?
guitar
Jeremy Havard
bass
Geoff Peach
sax
Eric Allandale
trombone
Jimmy Fitzroy
percussion
+ maybe others, unknown to me

If someone can provide more info, it would be very welcomed.

PETE ATKIN BAND

In October 1974, Jeff Seopardie joins singer Pete Atkin backing band:

PETE ATKIN BAND #?

Isotopeê

They toured during October and November 1974, opening for famed jazz-fusion band Isotope, led by guitar virtuoso Gary Boyle.

CAROL GRIMES BAND

During 1974-75, he worked briefly with great singer Carol Grimes, along with bassist Jeremy Havard, but again, I can't find proper info.

ISOTOPE

In mid 1975, Jeff Seopardie is asked to join Isotope, in order to augment their live potential:

ISOTOPE #?
Mid 75-?
êPete Atkin Band
Gary Boyle
guitar
Hugh Hopper

Laurence Scott

LINDA LEWIS BAND

This was the band that backed the great Linda Lewis in some concerts in October 1975:
LINDA LEWIS BAND #

ISOTOPE (again)

In December 1975, Laurence Scott left Isotope, being replaced by Frank Roberts:

ISOTOPE #?
Dec 75-?
Gary Boyle
guitar
Hugh Hopper
bass
Frank Roberts
keyboards
Aureo De Souza
percussion
Nigel Morris
drums

But the lineup collapsed very soon, when Hugh Hopper left too. Gary Boyle kept on with the band, using new members.

BRAND X

In January 1976, Jeff Seopardie joins fantastic band Brand X, as percussionist:

BRAND X #2
Jan 76-?
John Goodsall
guitar
Percy Jones
bass
Robin Lumley
keyboards
Morris Pert

Jeff Seopardie

Jeff played some gigs with the band, but soon leaves, even before the sessions for their first album were arranged.

AND THEN...

Jeff recorded 5 of his own songs in late 1976 with Rod Argent in a studio called The Barge owned by Tom Newman (Tubular Bells engineer). The line up was Jeff Seopardie (vocals, drums and percussion), Rod Argent (all keyboards), Jeremy Havard (bass) and Terry Jenkins (guitar). But they never were released.

Jeff and Terry Jenkins wrote an album together with other people, to be called Flight of the condor, but they never got a recording deal, so it was shelved.

PACIFIC EARDRUM

Around 1977, Jeff Seopardie joins Pacific Eardrum:

PACIFIC EARDRUM #
Joy Yates
vocals
Isaac Guillory
guitar
Billy Kristian
bass
Dave MacRae

They released two albums: Pacific Eardrum in 1977 (with help from the late Morris Pert on percussion) and Beyond panic in 1978 (with Simon Norton on percussion).

PETE BROWN BAND

In 1978, he joins a studio project by Pete Brown (from Piblokto! and Battered Ornaments fame), called Ray Gammond And The Interoceters (talk about weird names!!):

PETE BROWN BAND #
Pete Brown
vocals
Ray Taff Williams
guitar
Dill Katz
bass

Those recordings weren't released until several years later, in 1984, as part of the Party in the rain album.

This was the lineup for Pete Brown´s new venture, called Back To The Front:

PETE BROWN BAND #?
Dec 02
Pete Brown

Ian Lynn

Bimbo Acock
horns
Helen Hardy

+
Laurence Juber

There was no permanent guitarist, but Laurence Juber did some of the gigs.

THE JAZZ SLUTS

Jazz Sluts was a band formed by Jeff Seopardie, with the cream of British session players. This was the original lineup, in 1979:

THE JAZZ SLUTS #1

MORRISSEY-MULLEN

Jeff had three stints with this superb combo commanded by Jim Mullen and the much-missed Dick Morrissey.

This was the Morrissey-Mullen lineup around 1978/79:

MORRISSEY-MULLEN #?
1978-1979
Dick Morrissey
sax
Jim Mullen
guitar
Clive Chaman

THE JAZZ SLUTS (again)

This was the second lineup for Jazz Sluts, although I don´t know the period:

THE JAZZ SLUTS #2
?
Brian Holloway
guitar
Gary Twigg
bass
Julian Marshall
keyboards
Martin Ditcham
percussion

As far as I know, at least they released a single, with old mate Laurence Scott guesting on keyboards.

MORRISSEY-MULLEN (again)

This was the second time Seopardie joined the group, for a year, but don´t know the period:

MORRISSEY-MULLEN #?
1978-1979
Dick Morrissey
sax
Jim Mullen
guitar
Carol Kenyon

Jess Bailey
keyboards
Andy Hamilton

MORRISSEY-MULLEN (again)

And this was the third tenure for Seopardie with Morrissey-Mullen. I don´t know the complete lineup, but the bass chair was filled by either John McKenzie or Phil Mulford:

MORRISSEY-MULLEN #?
?
Dick Morrissey
sax
Jim Mullen
guitar
John McKenzie
bass
Phil Mulford
bass
+ keyboardist unknown to me. Help!

BARBARA DICKSON BAND (again)

This was Barbara Dickson Band in 1982:

BARBARA DICKSON BAND #?
1982
Barbara Dickson

Isaac Guillory
guitar
Gary Twigg

They recorded the live album Here we go... live on tour in the summer of 1982.

CHRIS REA BAND

This was the Chris Rea Band in 1984:

CHRIS REA BAND #?

But the Chris Rea Band was augmented with 2 additional members for part of the 1984 tour (around July):

THE JAZZ SLUTS (again)

And this lineup for The Jazz Sluts happened in 1985:

THE JAZZ SLUTS #?
1985
Nico Ramsden
guitar
Mark Smith
bass
Mick Parker
keyboards
Andy Hamilton
sax

Many guest musicians appeared with the band while they were active: Alan Holdsworth (guitar), Joe Hubbard (bass), Steve Lodder (keyboards), John Handy (sax), Mitch Mitchell (drums), etc.

SAD CAFE

Around 1985, Seopardie joins a reformed Sad Cafe, led by the late, missed Paul Young. A new album, Politics of existing, is recorded in 1985. A new lineup is completed for a tour promoting it (most of them, including Jeff, had played in the sessions):

SAD CAFE #?
1985
Paul Young

guitar, vocals
Ashley Mulford
guitar, vocals
Des Tong
bass
Phil Lanzon

Lenni

BOYS DON´T CRY

Jeff Seopardie´s next project was the band Boys Don't Cry. Mostly a joint project with singer Nick Richards, they had a very good live lineup:

BOYS DON´T CRY #?
?
Nick Richards
vocals
Nico Ramsden
guitar
Brian Chatton
keyboards
Mark Smith
bass
Jeff Seopardie
percussion

They released several albums, having a big hit with the song 'I wanna be a cowboy' (this song was later used in the soundtrack for the movie The last boy scout, starring Bruce Willis). This song has been fresh news recently, as Seopardie / Chatton / Ramsden & Richards have sued Kid Rock for plagiarism on his song 'Cowboy', as it's supposed he has copied their song.

TAM WHITE BAND

This was the lineup for Tam White big band, called The Celtic Groove Connection:
TAM WHITE BAND #?
?
Tam White

guitar
Paul Francis
bass
Chris Parren

AND THEN...

In the winter of 1994, Jeff went to Switzerland to play in a musical called Jeff. He played two seasons with that show, and having met many fine musicians, he decided to move there on a permanent basis, forming Mambo Studios with Swiss musician partner Angelo Signore.

He worked with local country artists like Jeff Turner, John Brack, Bonnie Jean Taylor, Rolf Raggenbass and others.

He finally returned to UK in 2005.

CHUCK BERRY BAND

In the late 90s, Jeff Seopardie has been playing with rock'n'roll living legend Chuck Berry. This was his backing band in year 1997:

CHUCK BERRY BAND #?
1997
Chuck Berry

keyboards

In 1998, GE Roberts is replaced by Jim Marsala:

CHUCK BERRY BAND #?

This lineup has been (surprisingly for Chuck) stable until this year 2002, as far as I know.

QUESTIONS:

01. He probably made some more sessions with Rod Argent during 1975/76. Has anybody additional info about it?

02. Was he a member of Cayenne, or maybe he just played in the album as sessionman?

03. I STILL NEED TO CHECK IF JEFF appears in Tam White's album Blue eccentricity.

04. Check if Jeff appears in Clock DVA´s album Advantage.

05. Who are the players in the ´Fuchi´ single by Jazz Sluts?

06. Was ´Vegetable magnetism´ released as a single by Jazz Sluts?
