Fantastic drummer, he was born on May 15th, 1946. He also plays guitar, bass, and is an accomplished songwriter.

Changes would continue in the band. Pete Dobson and the great Neil Hubbard also left them, and for a short period, he's replaced by Tommy Eyre (playing guitar, not keyboards!) and a fantastic drummer, Rod Coombes.
In June 1970, this lineup recorded their second album, Lie back and enjoy it.

I need info to know if Rod played in Spooky Tooth, replacing Mike Kellie, and when. Kellie left the band twice: once in Autumn 1970 (when the band folded - hint: Hawken and Grosvenor were members), and once again in May 74 (being replaced by the late Bryson Graham). This is supposed to have happened before Stealers Wheel, so my guess is that it should happen in 1970. Can someone help me providing some info, please?

But after some time, Rafferty left them for a while.

Shortly after Rod joined, they auditioned for GLAA (Greater London Arts Association) in 1977 and won the Young Jazz Musician award for 1978. Amazingly, the audition was their third date!
Unfortunately they didn't survive long enough after the "official" debut as YJM '78 at Ronnie Scott's on the 12th February 1978. By the time they played live on BBC Radio 3, Rod had left, replaced by Liam Genockey.

Oh, beware, there are two different editions (the American vs. the British edition), with many differences.
