BIOGRAPHY:

Very talented bassist, also a good singer. I haven´t biographical data about him.

Besides, I must say that I have confusion about his career. Why? Well, it seems there are several different Andy Brown bassists (one of them being more into jazz, usually playing with Tony Oxley - another one from New Zealand). To make things worse, keyboardist Andy Bown (from The Herd and Status Quo fame) is miscredited many times as Andy Brown, and he also played bass in the 70s. So, how can I know who is who every time? :) I´ve tried my best to place the correct credits to the proper musician, but any help would be very appreciated, as always.

    1. Hi,

My name is Karl Thurston-Brown & I am Andy's nephew. I think I can provide some extra details after a chase up with other family members.

In the meantime I can inform you that Andy did play live for Sheena Easton, however i'm not totally sure of the dates.

Secondly he played bass on Dennis Waterman's "I could be so good for you" the theme for Minder. Here's a link of him in action:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nHA_K0XZ2Hc

I also remember that he appeared as an animated rabbit for some commercial in the 70's. Again I need to chase up the details on this.

      I hope this helps.

    2. Andy was also in The Catch, which mutated into The Tourists, which became Eurythmics
