Lyle Ritz (bass)

Great bassist and ukelele player, Lyle Ritz was born Lyle Joseph Ritz on January 10th, 1930 in Cleveland, Ohio. He was part of the Wrecking Crew, comprising great studio cats in LA, appearing in countless albums (more than 5000!) . Of course, I cannot know or write all, but I include this short page as a tribute to Lyle, with some of the albums I know with him.

Lyle Ritz also appeared in some movies, such as Bound for glory (1976, a bio about singer Woody Guthrie, starring David Carradine).

Lyle Ritz passed away on March 3rd, 2017 in Portland, Oregon. He was 87. Thanks for so much great music.
