Fantastic drummer, he was often credited as 'Fast' Eddie Hoh. He was born on October 16th, 1944 in Forest Park, Illinois. Some of his first bands were called The Strangers or The Invaders, but I haven't been able to find proper info about them.

Sadly, Eddie Hoh passed away on November 7th, 2015 in Westmont, Illinois. He'll always be remembered as a great player and contributor to such golden period of rock music.

Eddie seemed to have dropped off the face of this planet. He had some psychological issues and went into hiding. Last time I knew Mr hoh resides in a nursing home in west chicago, I'll
ReplyDeleteSick man but he was a damn under acknowledge Musician. As many hit songs he played on the Guy should be living it up in retirement. But sadly he is a forgotten 60s session Musician. God bless the Hoh-man.
That's sad news. I hope he's getting royalty cheques from all the re-issues that come out. Eddie was an awesome drummer and always delivered when something special was needed……in the studio or live. As a drummer myself I know he has fans and isn't forgotten. Thanks Fast Eddie Hoh, you had class.
