This is intended to be a homage to very many musicians I've loved since I started listening to music. My intention is to tell what I know about them, hoping that those people who like them too, will help me fill numerous gaps, which I may have in their careers and discographies. Sorry, but there are no MP3 audio files here at all, just info (and love for the musicians).

Larry Martin (drums)

MINIMAL BIOGRAPHY:

Great fusion and jazz drummer, Larry Martin has been an important part of the Spanish music scene for decades. He was born in 1950 in Madrid, Spain.

Larry has been a member of some great bands, such as Canarios, Guadalquivir (from 1978 to 1984, 3 albums) or Banzai (their debut album), has backed singers such as Miguel Rios (backed by the whole Guadalquivir band), Pablo Abraira, Javier Alvarez (1995) or German Coppini (1996), as well as leading his own Larry Martin Band since October 1986, with several albums released.

Larry passed away on November 30th, 2013. He will be missed in the Spanish jazz scene.

Guadalquivir was formed in January 1978 by several experienced musicians:

Guadalquivir was a very special band, as it merged both fusion (a la Mahavishnu) and flamenco influences. Their first album was Guadalquivir, followed by Camino del concierto, and then, Manglis left the band.
