BIOGRAPHY:
Great singer, he was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire in Scotland on April 16th, 1947. Some of his songs are among the most known tunes, such as ´Stuck in the middle with you´ (with Stealers Wheel), or ´Baker Street´.
THE MAVERICKS
His first known band was The Mavericks, with his mate Joe Egan, but don´t know if there were more band members involved.
THE FIFTH COLUMN
Next band was The Fifth Column, again with Joe Egan. They released a single, ´Benjamin Day / There´s nobody here´.

Gerry Rafferty joined The Humblebums in 1969, thus becoming a trio:

Now The Humblebums is a duo again:
After a couple of albums, they parted ways in 1971.

After the split of The Humblebums, Gerry Rafferty started his solo career, releasing his first album, Can I have my money back?.
But he soon formed a new band with old mate Joe Egan. The band was called Stealers Wheel.

I hope I´ll be able to expand this info in the future...
