BIOGRAPHY:
Superb jazz guitarist, Jimmy Wyble was born in Port Arthur, Texas, USA on January 25th, 1922. He started playing guitar when he was a child, and turned professional in 1941.
He started playing country music with guitarist Cameron Hill, then Foreman Phillips Band, and finally Bob Wills in 1944, joining his band The Texas Playboys. He moved to LA in 1949, and turned into jazz music.

He started playing with Red Norvo in 1956, during 8 years.

FRANK SINATRA BAND
For his Australian tour in 1959, Frank Sinatra was backed by the Red Norvo Quintet, a fabulous combo:
I´m not sure if he toured Australia with Frank Sinatra and Norvo again in 1964. Does anybody know?

While in the Red Norvo Group, Jimmy and the group also worked with Benny Goodman, touring with him in 1959-60 and 1963.

Jimmy started playing sessions in 1965, in studios, TV and radio stations, also playing in movie soundtracks such as 'Kings Go Forth', 'Ocean´s Eleven' (the original one) or 'The Wild Bunch'.
He formed The Five Guitars with Tony Rizzi in the 70s.
He moved to San Francisco in the 80s, working as a guitar teacher as well as writing guitar theory books, such as The art of two-Line improvisation.
Jimmy passed away on January 16th, 2010 in Los Angeles, California. A sad loss.
