Superb singer, Clydie King was born as Clydie Mae King in August 21st, 1943 in Dallas, Texas. She appears in so many great albums, so this page only covers a small part of her discography, mostly featuring her as backing vocalist.
A member of Ray Charles´s Raelettes, Clydie King started her recording career with the name Little Clydie And The Teens. She also released singles under other names, such as Brown Sugar, Clydie King & The Sweet Things, etc.

Clydie King sadly passed away on January 7th, 2019 at Monrovia, California due to complications of a blood infection received during her dialysis treatment. She was 75. What a great voice we´ve lost!
